1. About EVAR & Platform Ecosystem
EVAR is a comprehensive B2B and consumer event-technology platform owned and operated by EVAR Connect Pvt. Ltd. ("EVAR", "we", "us", or "our"). The EVAR ecosystem includes:
- The EVAR Web Platform (evar.co.in): Providing event discovery across cities and categories, public/private event creation, community calendars, attendee ticketing/registration, digital badge passes, B2B networking directories, 1-on-1 meeting scheduling, multi-track agendas, and event communications (blasts and reminders).
- The EVAR Mobile Application: Providing on-site lead capture at trade expos, conferences, and business exhibitions via camera OCR card scanning, booth lead organization, notes, and data export.
- Any companion tools, check-in door scanners, embeds, widgets, and services provided under the EVAR brand.
By accessing or using any part of the EVAR web platform or mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not access or use our services.
2. Eligibility & Account Registration
2.1 You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to register for an account or create events on EVAR.
2.2 If you are accessing the service on behalf of a company, business entity, partnership, or community organization, you represent and warrant that you have the legal authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2.3 Account registration requires a valid email address and/or Indian mobile number. Authentication is conducted via One-Time Passwords (OTP) or secure credentials. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities carried out under your account.
2.4 You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to promptly update your profile information when changes occur.
3. Event Hosting, Community Calendars & Content
3.1 Event Creation: Event hosts and organizers can create public, private, or members-only events, define ticket tiers, set capacity restrictions, and customize registration requirements.
3.2 Host Responsibility: As an event host, you are solely responsible for the accuracy of your event details, the safety and legality of the venue, obtaining any necessary local municipal or police permits, and delivering the promised event experience to registered attendees.
3.3 Community Calendars & Multi-Admins: Calendars allow communities to host ongoing event series. Calendar owners may appoint secondary administrators. Calendar owners remain responsible for all activities and content published under their community calendar.
3.4 Host Communications: Organizers may send event reminders and email/SMS blasts to registered attendees strictly in relation to the registered event. Blasts must not be used to transmit unsolicited third-party commercial spam or prohibited material.
4. Attendee Registration, Ticketing & Check-In
4.1 RSVPs & Approvals: Submitting a registration constitutes an agreement to attend the event. Where an event requires host approval, registration is not confirmed until approved by the host.
4.2 Digital Passes & QR Codes: Registered attendees are issued a unique digital badge/ticket containing a verification QR key. Tickets are personal and non-transferable unless permitted by the event host.
4.3 Door Check-In: Event staff utilize EVAR's QR check-in scanner to validate passes at the door. EVAR is not liable for entry refusals resulting from capacity limits, duplicate pass presentations, or host admission decisions.
5. B2B Networking & 1-on-1 Meeting Scheduling
5.1 Opt-In Networking: Participation in an event's Networking Hub is strictly opt-in. By enabling your networking profile, you consent to fellow event attendees viewing your designation, company, industry facets, and public social handles.
5.2 1-on-1 Meetings: Attendees may open availability slots and book meetings with other participants. Users agree to engage in professional conduct and honor scheduled meeting commitments.
5.3 Abuse & Harassment: EVAR maintains zero tolerance for commercial harassment, unsolicited sales spam, or inappropriate behavior within the networking directory. Users may report abusive behavior, and EVAR reserves the right to immediately suspend or ban violators.
6. Mobile Lead Capture for Exhibitors
6.1 Permitted Lead Capture: Exhibitors using the EVAR mobile app shall scan visiting cards or capture contact information solely in the context of voluntary, in-person, bona fide business exchanges at exhibition booths and events.
6.2 Prohibited Actions: Exhibitors shall not:
- Scan cards or collect contact data without the individual's knowledge or consent;
- Sell, distribute, or license captured lead records to external third-party data brokers;
- Use captured contacts to transmit unsolicited bulk spam in violation of the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations (TCCCPR) or DPDP Act;
- Upload fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading visiting card records.
6.3 Exhibitor Compliance: Exhibitors act as independent Data Fiduciaries for captured lead databases and are responsible for honoring any individual opt-out or deletion requests received directly from prospective leads.
7. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to use the EVAR web platform or mobile application to:
- Publish or promote illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, obscene, infringing, or harmful content;
- Impersonate any individual, brand, company, or event organizer;
- Interfere with, disrupt, or compromise the integrity or security of our servers, databases, or networks;
- Use automated scripts, bots, spiders, or scrapers to extract event listings, attendee directories, or lead databases;
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any aspect of the EVAR web application, mobile binaries, or OCR models.
8. Intellectual Property & User Content
8.1 EVAR IP: All trademarks, logos, UI designs, codebases, algorithms, and software comprising the EVAR ecosystem are the proprietary intellectual property of EVAR Connect Pvt. Ltd.
8.2 User Content License: By uploading event descriptions, cover banners, logos, or community media, you grant EVAR a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and promoting the event on our platform.
9. Commercial Terms & Future Modifications
9.1 Base event discovery, attendance, and current phase mobile lead capture are provided as specified in the platform. EVAR reserves the right to introduce premium tiers, paid ticketing transaction fees, advanced analytics subscriptions, or volume quotas with prior notice.
9.2 Any new commercial terms will apply prospectively and will not retroactively charge you for past usage.
10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
10.1 EVAR is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime, 100% OCR transcription accuracy under poor lighting, or specific event attendance turnout.
10.2 To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, EVAR Connect Pvt. Ltd. and its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform or attendance at any event listed on EVAR.
11. Account Termination & Deletion
11.1 You may terminate your account and delete your data at any time through the in-app settings or via our Delete Account page.
11.2 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or create security risks for our platform or users.
12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
